Are STUDYplans available?

*******************************

Hi Mario,

Sorry for the delay in responding. I do not have study plans for the Neo yet, but I can get a nice package of a couple of sample plan pages and other things together for you and email them to your address in the next week.

nice design. little by little this camp cruising beachcat concept is being refined to the point of being my "perfect" boatbuilding project. (I've also have seen the old school beach cruiser pages) hopefully by the time I am ready to start building all the design work will have been done by minds more capable than mine. thanks.
one more thing, I've been intrigued by the bi=plane rig for a small catamaran... shorter freestanding masts, and much simpler and smaller loads on the main beam. what are your thoughts?

This is the type of boat I would build. Very innovative, practical and simple. I would be very interested in having a look at the centerline pod's sliding beam structure.

Great design...

This is missing on the market. All one can buy is a fast beach cat for a few hours of fun.
Any chance of building it dory-style or tortured V-shape for the ease of construction (something like Wood's Janus)? And stringers on frames instead of stitch and glue? The pics of the hull profiles in the middle look almost like that. I don't think that the loss in speed would be that great and it would look the same pretty when in the water...
What about a gunter rig (not sure if it's a good idea on cats that reach high speeds) or something else that would shorten the mast?
Also, is it possible to have beam boxes that are demountable (like on Tiki 21 and Janus) instead of the center pod?

Thanks

Love where you've taken the concept! I can't build at the present with parenting duties, teaching, and coaching, but this would really take the H21SC to a whole new level of comfort. I like how the central pod allows for good forestay tension, some hard deck area, beam mounts, and an outboard mount! I think this one would be a good low power motor cruiser to enter into the WB challenge with a gas sipping 9.9 hp yamaha engines. It might not have the planing top end speed of some of the skiff designs, but this'll do 10+ in most anything--Pontoon efficiency like the Gougemaran. Plus if the wind quits or you just don't feel like stepping the rig, you still have a great boat.
