Solo16 Sport build underway

Tom Raidna, the well regarded owner of the http://buildboats.com/ web site, has begun construction on the prototype example of the Solo16 Sport trimaran in North Carolina.

I am hoping to build a similar boat for coastal commuting in Maine. My goal is to find a design that can be more efficient on a 50 nm run, then my 4 hour car drive alternative.
